Privately, we sell new and estate (or previously) owned jewelry. Customers who want to make their purchase without going through the auction process can do so privately. We have a beautiful salon location in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan where our friendly staff will assist you with your purchase. We also list items in our on-line store for your convenience.

The term “retail” is often misused to indicate a higher price paid. Instead, it indicates that the item is going to the “end user,” who intends to actually wear the piece. Retail customers shouldn’t have to pay unnecessary costs just because they intend to keep their item. The buyers at Joseph DuMouchelle know that they are paying a fair price and are often times buying right alongside the dealers, wholesalers and collectors of fine jewelry who resell our items for a profit.

In order to educate and assist each buyer we have four Graduate Gemologists on staff with over 80 combined years of experience to answer any questions. Our staff has worked in many arenas of the jewelry industry including manufacturing, goldsmithing, design, high-end jewelry retail, national retail jewelry chain and important private sales, in addition to 80 years of auction expertise. With this vast knowledge of sales in jewelry, we are able to assist our clients in many buying opportunities to which many other establishments have little knowledge of or access.

Thousands of pieces of new and previously owned pieces are available on a daily basis. We will take requests for jewelry items currently not available on-line or at our salon location. We will find them for you at no extra charge – often at significant savings over locations stocking these items as inventory.
